Awesome Road Trip (February 13, 2012)

It was a great week and I'm really glad that I had the chance to go to the leadership training in Iowa City and then to the trainers meeting in Davenport on  thursday. It was really neat the be at that meeting where all the Zone and District Leaders were and then all of us trainers.... President Jergensen said that we all look to the Ap's as the ideal missionaries, but the he said that the Lord puts more trust in the Trainers then anyone else on the mission. I was really glad to hear that and I do feel a sense of accomplishment by training Elder Ashworth. At times I find myseld looking at some of the other missionaries that he came out with and say "wow i bet he's awesome and would be a great companion, but I realize that I got a difficult missionary to deal with. I love him to death don't get me wrong, but I can for sure see how my patience has improved since being with him... I wish some more snow would fall so that we could get into another snowball fight... He says that he is a killer baseball player , but he can't take the heat of my fastballs coming in the form of a snowball right at his face haha.
The work here is doing alright. We had a couple of the part member families at church yesterday and so we will be contacting some folks to see if we can drop by. I'm still a little confused on how to approach these part member families because I don't want to ruin any relationships with the church by being pushy or directing certain messages right towards some of them..... which has happened in the past and some of the members have lost all interest of having us over at there home's because of past missionaries.
We are going to Pontiac today for p-day and are going to play some much needed basketball and some raquetball so we are headed out a little early today..... I'm still trying to figure out how Tony is able to write a novel every email session but I guess I just don't type as fast as he does.

Well my friends I love you and pray for missionary oppurtunities for you as I know you pray for me
